Price is includes (Discovery Expeditions, Inc. agrees to provide each of the following goods and services for the duration of the tour to each participant traveling with your group):

• One checked bag up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• London accommodation (5 nights)
• Private airport transfers to/from your London B&B
• All taxes & fees
• 24 Hour emergency access number
• Complete tour participant accounting including online registration and payment
• Travel Protection Base Plan provided by Academic Expeditions includes coverage for Trip Interruption, Missed Connection, Travel Delay, Accident & Sickness Medical Expense, Evacuation, and Baggage Loss/Delay

Not included: 

• Additional baggage fees (1 checked bag per passenger is typically included with international airfare)
• Individual participant visas and electronic travel agreements
• Souvenirs:)

INSURANCE:

We automatically include the standard “On Trip” insurance.  That’s coverage for things that might happen during the trip – once it has already started – such as lost baggage, injury, medical treatment, trip interruption, quarantine.  

During registration you will have the opportunity to choose from two “Optional” insurance upgrades are both for Pre-Trip Cancellation – something that prevents someone from traveling even before the trip starts. 

·        Option 1 is more for unexpected things that happen before the trip and prevent travel:  getting sick or injured, loss of a family member.  Think of things that are beyond control, and that need to be documented (such as doctors note suggesting not traveling). With document proof of a qualifying situation, reimbursement is up to 100% of the non-refundable trip cost. 

·        Option 2 includes the same Option 1 benefits, but also has CFAR coverage (Cancel for Any Reason) in events that are NOT covered by Option 1 (such as just deciding not to go.  No reason is needed, and no proof of reason is needed.  Reimbursement is up to 75% of non-refunded payments. Must notify us at least 48 hours prior to departure date.

If neither Option 1 or 2 are chosen, then there is no additional reimbursement of payments after Discovery Expeditions has applied our cancellation terms.  Review our Terms & Conditions. Option 1 & 2 are only for cancellation BEFORE the trip starts.
